A note about local elections & climate topics

Sustainability isn't really a focal point of discussion in local political campaigns, but we (at CFG) feel everyone should be talking about it and working on it. You can trust CFG to keep an eye on this issue people care about and to share information so we can all make informed decisions.

As a non-partisan organization, CFG does not endorse candidates — we never have, and we never will. We do ask every candidate to answer questions, and we often post those replies — verbatim — for your review. We do not interpret, rank, or comment on candidate responses, though some candidates choose not to respond.
October 2024 update re: local elections:
Cast an informed vote.
Election Day is 11/5. Early voting starts 10/26.
In an effort to learn more about their environmental priorities, Color Your Community Green teams throughout our nine-county region asked the candidates for Congress, NY State Senate, and NY State Assembly a set of questions earlier this month.
We asked them to either answer our questions or to provide a general statement of their concerns about the environment in general, climate specifically, and what actions they will prioritize should they be elected.
As you continue to do research on the candidates that you support, you may find it useful to read up on the answers to these questions.
Color Penfield Green organized them into a post on their website.
You may have friends in other districts, so please feel free to share.
