Denim Recycling Drive

Color Fairport Green collected used denim items from the community during May 2023 through Cotton, Inc.'s Blue Jeans Go Green program.

THE RESULTS ARE IN

Thanks to you,
our 2023 Denim Drive
kept
595 pounds* of reusable denim
out of landfills
!

*This figure has been updated to include (another) 48 pieces weighing 57 pounds from the Saints Place in Pittsford as well as 18 pieces weighing 32 pounds from the Perinton Quilt Club.

Special thanks to the continued enthusiasm of both groups!

We sorted, weighed, and packaged it all up and sent it in to Cotton, Inc. to be repurposed into things like building insulation for Habitat for Humanity.
