How to get involved

We are always happy to connect with new people who share our passion and concerns about climate change. None of us is an expert, and you don’t need to be one either!

Come as you are, with your unique gifts and talents.

Take action on the climate issues you care about

Explore the wide range of topics that members of our community work on, and see if there's something there that interests you.

In some cases, we have a Committee working on hyper-local projects, but we've included links to other organizations and resources since we regularly collaborate with other groups to take meaningful action in our local, regional, national, and global communities.

Join a focused CFG committee

Our work concerns a wide range of climate issues, but we have local committees of CFG members working on specific projects, including:

-
encouraging sustainability best practices in our school district
(see our Sustainable Schools committee);

-
aiming to restore and protect the biodiversity of our local ecosystems
(see our Healthy Yards & Landscapes committee);

-
and striving to reduce methane emissions by diverting food waste from the landfill
(see our Food Waste Diversion & Composting committee).

While that's not all we do, those are some hyper-local focal points.

Please know that there is a much broader range of climate issues that our community members volunteer their time to work on, and we need you on those teams, too!

Get connected

Our Facebook discussion group has grown to about 300 members since its inception. We post updates there often, and we encourage anyone in the group to share and start conversations, too!

(If you use Slack, we also have active forum channels there. Let us know if you want an invite.)

Taking action is something we all must do, in whatever way we can.
