Color Fairport Green is a volunteer organization.
Our work relies on the concerns, experience, and commitment of the community members who want to be involved. If you're not sure where you "fit" - please reach out to us.
There's plenty to do. We need you!

Speak up in relevant local government meetings
Support our causes with confidence
As opportunities arise to make your voice heard in our local government(s), we will post information about Village or Town board meetings where they are looking to hear from constituents who support a climate-smart agenda.
Of course, you can always contact your elected leaders anytime with your concerns. They are listening!
Join the conversation in our Facebook group
We post community awareness-building messages, notices about meetings, and resources for learning about climate issues and activism in our CFG Facebook discussion group.
All members are welcome to post relevant events, questions, and discussion topics as well.
Get connected on Slack
Slack is a handy (and free) forum that many people and organizations in Rochester climate action circles use to share events, action items, and news. It allows you to search for specific topics in prior conversations or keep a thread of one conversation moving without losing it.
To join us on Slack, shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll send you a personal invitation link to our channel.
We feel lucky to live in an area where environmentally-responsible decision making is not a totally foreign idea. Since our group's re-launch in the Fall of 2020, several incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated community members have stepped up to join our working team, and we are inspired by the talents and enthusiasm of Fairport and Perinton residents.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions about where your interests and abilities might fit into the work we do, or if you have an idea about a project or campaign we should consider next! Our mission and our future plans are deep and broad - there is a place for everyone at Color Fairport Green!
